The wife of famous Bollywood actor and web series ‘Mirzapur’ famous character ‘Kaaleen Bhaiya’ has said that her mother-in-law Pankach Tripathi’s mother has not accepted her as a daughter-in-law till now.
According to NDTV, Pankach Tripathi tied the knot with his school sweetheart Maree Dulla and it has been more than 20 years since their marriage.
However, even after two decades, the couple is still facing difficulties in their family life.
The actor’s wife said in an interview that she had married Pankach Tripathi for love at a time when marriage of choice was not acceptable in society.
Due to social and other cultural differences in the families of Pankach Tripathi and his wife, yet the actor’s mother did not accept Pankach Tripathi’s wife as a daughter-in-law.
“I met Pankach at my brother’s wedding,” said Maree Doola, recalling her meeting with Pankach Tripathi.
At that time, Pankach Tripathi was in the 11th standard while Maridulla was a ninth standard student.
Both were in a relationship for 12 years before getting married.
In a conversation with a YouTube channel, Maree Dulla said, ‘It is still unacceptable, I and Pankach Tripathi are not blood relatives, but in our culture it is unacceptable that a low caste woman should be in such a family. Be allowed to marry where another woman has already married into a high family.’
‘Since my husband’s sister had married into my family, I could not marry into his family.’
She also said that ‘father had fixed my marriage with someone else but then I took courage and told my father that I like Pankach.’
After this news, the family was disturbed, sister-in-law was not happy and neither mother was happy. They were all worried about how Pankach would take care of me, but gradually everyone accepted our relationship.’
He added that ‘My mother-in-law has not accepted me yet but what can happen now.’
Pankach Tripathi and Maree Dulla got married in the year 2004 and now they have a daughter named Aashi Tripathi.
