The Federal Cabinet of Pakistan has approved the Hajj Policy 2025 on the recommendation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Hajj quota of Pakistan in the year 2025 will be 1 lakh 79 thousand 210, which will be divided between the government of Pakistan and the private sector in the ratio of 50 and 50 percent.
According to the Hajj policy, children below 12 years of age will not be allowed to travel for Hajj this year.
The Federal Cabinet meeting was held at Prime Minister House Islamabad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The federal cabinet was informed that a computerized lottery will be held regarding the government quota. 1000 seats will be reserved for hardship cases while 300 seats are earmarked for laborers or low income employees.
Route to Makkah facility will be available at Islamabad and Karachi international airports.
Hajj group organizers will sign a service provider agreement with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and these organizers will be closely monitored for service delivery.
The Federal Cabinet was informed that this time a new post of Nazeem has been established to supervise the provision of better facilities to pilgrims. One moderator will be appointed for every 100 pilgrims. These administrators will be selected from among the welfare staff.
The cabinet was further informed that compensation has been increased for those who died and were injured during Hajj. The families of the deceased pilgrims will be compensated between Rs.
The cabinet was informed that a special Hajj management application has been created for the convenience of Hajj and special arrangements have been made for the training of Hajj.
Apart from this, the Federal Cabinet has directed to give priority to such persons in Hajj balloting who will pay Hajj for the first time. It has also been directed to take all necessary steps to ensure the provision of best facilities to the pilgrims.
