An operation is underway to control the fire in a factory in Peshawar’s Hayatabad Industrial Estate.
In a statement on Sunday, Rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Faizi has said that The fire that broke out yesterday has been contained to 70 percent.
Bilal Faizi further said that more than 25 operational vehicles of Rescue 1122 are participating in the operation while more than 100 Zahid personnel are engaged in extinguishing the fire.
Teams from Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera and Khyber district are taking part to control the fire.
The Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said in a conversation with the media that the fire is being controlled with difficulty due to chemicals inside the factory.
He said that the government is making all possible efforts to control the fire.
