It was a beautiful evening in April when Muhammad Rasheed, a resident of Sarai Alamgir in Gujarat district of Punjab, received a phone call from three of his friends saying, ‘Come today, let’s take you to Kaliam Sharif (Tehsil Gujjar Khan) where other friends are. will spend some memorable moments with.
Mohammad Rasheed confirmed the plan with his friends and after telling his wife and children at home, started preparations to leave.
In no time, Muhammad Rasheed’s friends reached outside his house and he got into the car and left for Qaliyam Sharif.
According to the police, on reaching Qaliyam Sharif, Muhammad Rasheed’s friends told that three more of his friends are currently staying in a house in the nearby town of Tambar Ratial where they have also arranged for food, so they all go there.
Muhammad Rasheed along with his friends reached the town called Tambar Ratial where he was welcomed by his other friends in a house and then all the friends got busy chatting with each other.
Only a few moments had passed when the six friends tied up Mohammad Rasheed and started torturing him. Mohammad Rasheed, who came to commemorate his evening with his friends, had no idea that it would be the last evening of his life.
The accused did not just kill Muhammad Rasheed by shooting them, but cut his body into two pieces and buried them in two separate places in the dark of night.
Ahmad Yar, the investigating officer investigating the murder case, told Urdu News that Mohammad Rasheed and all his friends were drug dealers who killed them on the suspicion that they were informers. Apart from this, the accused also had a dispute over the transaction with the victim.
When contacted by Urdu News, Mohammad Usman, the son of the deceased Mohammad Rashid, gave more information about his father’s murder and said, “My father died on April 13.” He went to Kalayam Sharif with his friends. When I last contacted him that night, he said, “It’s getting late today. I’ll be back home in the morning.”
When he contacted again in the morning, he found the number blocked, so he called Mohammad Rashid’s friends to find out about his father’s well-being.
The deceased’s son told Urdu News that ‘when my father did not reach home even after a day, I contacted his friends again, but this time their answer was different that Muhammad Rasheed was taken away by the agency.’
After changing the statements, Muhammad Usman began to suspect that his father had been kidnapped by his friends. Mohammad Usman tells that ‘the accused started to comfort me that you don’t need to worry, we will save your father together.’
Muhammad Usman said that ‘when I continued to search for my father, he started threatening me that if I went to the police, I would be responsible for my own loss.’
The search for Mohammad Rasheed, a citizen belonging to Sarai Alamgir, continued for two to two and a half months, but no trace of his son or any family member could be found.
Finally, the victim’s son filed an FIR of his father’s abduction in the Mandira Tehsil Gujar Khan police station, in which he accused Muhammad Rasheed’s friends of his abduction.
According to Ahmed Yar, the investigating officer of the case, the deceased Mohammad Rasheed was killed by his friends and buried in a town called Tambar Ratial.
He said that ‘when the police arrested the three accused in the pursuit of the case, they confessed to the murder of their friend Muhammad Rasheed during the investigation and also told about the other accused involved in the crime.’
According to the investigating officer of the case, three suspects involved in the murder of citizen Muhammad Rasheed have been arrested, but the other three suspects fled abroad immediately after the murder, and efforts are being made to bring them to Pakistan through Interpol.
