The passports of 23 Pakistani citizens have been suspended and their names have been added to the Passport Control List (PCL) for the protest against former Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa in London and the attack on his car.
On Saturday, senior officials of the Passport and Immigration Office told Urdu News confirming the action against 23 Pakistani citizens. A letter has also been written to the British authorities for the extradition of all those who attacked the former Chief Justice.
The Directorate of Immigration and Passport, on the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, with the help of NADRA, has identified the Pakistani citizens involved in the riots against former Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and initiated action against them.
According to the passport authorities, the Pakistani citizens who have been prosecuted include former member of the National Assembly Malika Bukhari, Zulfi Bukhari and Azhar Mashwani.
Apart from this, the name of Pakistani citizen and PTI activist Shayan Ali, who protested outside Nawaz Sharif’s residence in London some time ago, has also been added to the passport control list.
Officials of the Directorate of Passport and Immigration say that the names of Pakistani nationals included in the passport suspension and passport control list include Sadia Faheem, Faheem Gulzar, Maheen Faisal, Sidra Tariq and Haba Abdul Majeed among other PTI activists.
The names of Pakistani citizens Waqas Chauhan, Mohsin Haider, Zameer Akram, Sardar Taimur, Muhammad Parvez Ali and Rukhsana Kausar have also been included in the list. Apart from this, the names of Sheikh Muhammad Jameel, Mehran Habib, Zaheer Ahmed, Rehman Anwar and Muhammad Sadiq Khan have also been put in the passport control list.
Officials further said that the passports of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf activists Khadija Kashif, Mohammad Naveed Afzal, Shehzad Qureshi, Sulaiman Ali Shah and Bilal Anwar in London have also been suspended and their names have been added to the PCL.
According to the Passport and Immigration Office, the passports of all the persons named in the protest and rioting case against the former Chief Justice have been suspended and their names have been added to the passport control list. These Pakistani nationals will be immediately arrested and subjected to extensive investigation as soon as they arrive at the airport.
Officials say that earlier Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had issued instructions to the Ministry of Interior to identify those involved in the riots in London against recently retired former Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, after which NADRA With the help of these Pakistani citizens, action has been taken against them.
It should be remembered that on October 30, PTI workers protested and shouted slogans against former Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa who came to attend an event organized in London.
A function was organized in honor of Qazi Faiz Isa at Middle Temple, the oldest legal school in Britain, which he attended along with his wife.
However, on his return from the event, he and his wife had to face protests from Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers whose videos also went viral on social media.
On this occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former member National Assembly Malika Bukhari, former Special Assistant Zulfi Bukhari and PTI social media member Azhar Mashwani also addressed the protesters.
