Former star player of Pakistan cricket team Saeed Anwar has announced his disassociation from his social media accounts.
Saeed Anwar has said in a message about the social media accounts attributed to him that ‘he does not have any account on social media, so he should not consider the news and information from such accounts to be true.’
In this regard, former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has shared a video of former Pakistani opener Saeed Anwar on the popular social networking website X in which Saeed Anwar is giving a message to people.
Rashid Latif has also appealed to report the account attributed to Saeed Anwar.
In the shared video, Saeed Anwar has said that ‘Allah has given us a beautiful religion in which He has placed every success of this world and the hereafter. The Messenger of Allah said that my Ummah can do every sin, but do not lie. Can and cannot deceive.’
He further says that ‘Lying is human nature, Allah said in the Qur’an that I do not guide a liar.’
Saeed Anwar further said that ‘Some people have created accounts in my name on Facebook, X and other social media platforms and I don’t know which of them are telling people the wrong news.’
He appealed to the public that ‘whoever sees such news, should not believe it as truth and reject it because I do not have any social media account.’
He asked the public to spread his message so that this liar is caught.
It should be noted that the left-handed opener, who has represented Pakistan in 55 Tests and 247 ODIs, spends most of his time with Tablighi Jamaat these days.
On the other hand, the account mentioned in the video by Rashid Latif has now been blocked by X, but X has not yet issued an official statement in this regard.
