Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has denied the Indian media reports and said that no information has been received on the BCCI’s decision not to come to Pakistan for the Indian team.
While talking to the media in Lahore on Friday, journalists asked Mohsin Naqvi that there is news that India has refused to come to Pakistan, to which Mohsin Naqvi said that the BCCI has contacted the PCB in this regard. No contact made.
Mohsin Naqvi said that ‘News have been circulating in the Indian media for two months that the Indian team is not coming to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. .’
He said that ‘there has been no discussion with anyone regarding the hybrid model of the Champions Trophy, nor will we discuss it.’
“As far as the Indian media reports are concerned, there will be a written letter that will be given to us by the ICC, but no such letter has reached the PCB.”
“We still want no politics in cricket, we will continue the preparations we are making for the Champions Trophy and it will be a successful tournament.”
The journalist asked Mohsin Naqvi that if such a letter is received from India, then what will be the reaction of Pakistan, to which the Chairman PCB replied that ‘if a message is received from India not to come to Pakistan. If it happens, I will have to go to the government of Pakistan, I will have to implement the decision taken by the government.’
Mohsin Naqvi added that ‘Pakistan has shown very good behavior in the last few years, don’t expect good from us every time.’
It should be noted that news was circulating on the Indian media yesterday that the BCCI has sent a message to the PCB that the Indian team will not come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy, while the matches between Pakistan and India will be held in Dubai under the hybrid model. There are possibilities.
