The first match of the three-Test series between India and New Zealand is underway in Bengaluru.
On the second day of the match on Thursday, the entire Indian team has been dismissed for 46 runs.
According to the Indian Express, this is India’s lowest ever score in a Test match at home and the third lowest score in the history of Test cricket.
After rain on the first day of the Test, the match started on the second day when Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first.
Five players including Virat Kohli were out for zero from India, Rishabh Pant 20 and Yashwi Jaiswal 13 were outstanding while no other player could get double figure scores.
New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry dismissed 5 players, William O’Rourke took 4 wickets and Tim Southee took 1 wicket.
