Renowned Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Dil Lumnati’ tour is going on, under which he is visiting different cities of different countries for concerts.
The concert of the same ‘Dil Lumnati’ tour has been held in Abu Dhabi in recent days in which fans of Diljit do Sanjh from all over the world, including those from Pakistan, have participated.
According to Indian Express, Diljit Dosanjh’s next show is in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state of India, but Telangana authorities have issued a legal notice to the singer before the show.
The notice instructed Diljit Dosanjh not to sing songs that promote violence, alcohol and other drugs in his show in Hyderabad.
This notice has been issued to Diljit Dosanjh as a result of a complaint by a citizen of Chandigarh.
An application was made to the administration of Telangana by a citizen named Pandit Rao Darnoor.
The petition urged authorities to stop Diljit from performing songs that promote violence and drugs during a concert in Hyderabad.
The petition also asked Diljit to stop ‘using children’ in his show.
Telangana Women and Child Development Department Commissioner Kanthi Wesley confirmed that the notice has been served to Diljit Dosanjh and the organizers of the show.
A notice issued by the District Welfare Officer of the Women, Children and Senior Citizens Welfare Department addressed to Diljit Dosanjh on November 7 said, ‘According to the video evidence submitted by the complainant, Diljit Dosanjh has sung songs promoting violence, alcohol and other drugs during his live show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on 26 and 27 October.
‘So we are issuing this notice to you not to sing such songs in Hyderabad.’
