Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has expressed indifference to the person who waved the American flag in the Swabi rally on November 9 and directed the police to investigate the matter.
PTI organized a meeting in Swabi on Saturday in which all central leaders including Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur were present.
At the beginning of the Swabi rally, the commotion was seen when a young man in the rally waved the American flag.
A video of the flag hoisting at the meeting hall went viral on social media in which PTI workers were seen messing with the said youth.
After a long argument, the American flag was confiscated from the young man and after the PTI workers clashed with the young man, the police escorted him out of the meeting hall.
Who was the waver of the American flag?
According to the Swabi district police spokesperson, in view of the fear of confrontation in the meeting place, the police took the American flag from the worker and threw him out of the grand.
The police took the position that the organizers were also trying to prevent disorder in the meeting, that’s why the youth was thrown out.
Journalist Ayub Khan of Swabi told Urdu News that ‘the young man who brought the American flag to the rally hall was pretending to be a PTI worker who was also wearing a PTI cap.’
He said that the alleged worker of PTI did not belong to Swabi but to Peshawar, but according to officials of PTI Swabi, the youth does not belong to PTI.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Spokesperson Barrister Saif says, ‘The hoisting of the American flag is a deliberate conspiracy of the government. The officials of the government did this by planning.’
He said that the Chief Minister has expressed his anger on this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
According to Barrister Saif, Imran Khan cannot be removed from the hearts of the people by waving the American flag in the rally. Action will be taken against those who wave the American flag.
PML-N rejected the allegation
PML-N rejecting Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s charge said that ‘PTI’s reality has come out.’
Muslim League-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has said in one of its statements that ‘by changing the narrative from PTI’s founder Absolutely Not, Trump has brought forward the narrative of Zindabad.’
