Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has filed a police report on the incident of death threats and harassment at the Pakistani High Commission in London.
In a statement issued by the Pakistan High Commission in London, it has been said that Defense Minister Khawaja Asif came to the High Commission on Thursday regarding the issue of death threats, harassment and using obscene words at the train station.
‘Khawaja Muhammad Asif filed a report of the train incident with the local police in the Pakistan High Commission. Khawaja Mohammad Asif informed the police about the incident of harassment and threat of killing with a knife in the train.
The incident is being investigated by London Transport Police, the statement said. The incident took place on the afternoon of 11 November 2024 at Elizabeth Line.
According to Khawaja Asif, he is on a private visit in London and was going to Reading via Elizabeth Line along with a loved one.
‘Members of a family consisting of three to four members harassed the train, made a video without permission, used foul language and threatened to kill with a knife.’
Khawaja Asif said that he did not know the people involved in the incident, so the London Transport Police traced the accused with the help of CCTV videos.
He said that such heinous incidents of death threats and harassment are a source of shame and regret for the 17 lakh Pakistani non-British citizens living in the UK.
Keep in mind that this incident was reported in the Pakistani media three days ago and there is a discussion in this regard on social media as well. But the defense minister had not reported the incident to the police and had not given any statement in this regard.
