Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack on rangers and police personnel by protesters on the Srinagar highway, saying that ‘the chaotic group is deliberately targeting the law enforcement agencies.’
According to the statement issued by the media wing of the Prime Minister House, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of the Rangers personnel crushed by the vehicle in the attack.
The Prime Minister has directed to immediately identify the persons involved in the incident and punish them.
“The lives of the families of the security personnel were destroyed by the rioters. The anarchist group wants bloodshed, not revolution.’
The Prime Minister said that this is ‘not a peaceful protest, it is extremism.’
PTI’s convoy reached Ji Nain

The United States has appealed to the protesters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf to ‘protest peacefully and avoid violence.’
In response to a question during a press briefing on Tuesday, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said that while maintaining law and order, respect for Pakistan’s laws and constitution should be ensured.
He urged the Pakistani authorities to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms.

‘Order to shoot rioters and miscreants on sight’
The army was called in in Islamabad after four Rangers personnel were crushed under a vehicle on the Srinagar highway late at night.
According to local media, security sources said on Tuesday morning that ‘clear orders have been given to shoot rioters and miscreants on sight.’
“On the Srinagar highway, miscreants rammed the vehicle on Rangers personnel, which killed four Rangers personnel, while five Rangers and police personnel were seriously injured.”
