PTI workers who were released from jail on Thursday raised slogans against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at Chief Minister House Peshawar.
After the release of the PTI workers who were arrested during the protest in Islamabad’s D Chowk, a dinner was organized in their honor at Chief Minister House Peshawar.
The meeting ceremony with the Chief Minister was held on Thursday night in which workers from different districts participated.
After the meeting with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, slogans were raised by the workers in the event, the video of which is viral on social media.
In the viral video, the workers were seen standing in front of the main gate of the Chief Minister’s House and chanting ‘Respect the workers’, while in the video, some workers were seen stopping their colleagues from chanting.
Why did the workers protest?
A senior worker of Tehreek-e-Insaf Peshawar confirmed this incident and told Urdu News that the workers released from jail had come to meet Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
He said that the workers had to wait for three hours to meet the Chief Minister, then after a long wait, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur gave a short address to the workers and left without listening to them.
According to Siddiqullah, another PTI activist, the chief minister announced Rs 1,000 for every worker released from jail, after which the workers protested angrily.
On this occasion, these workers said that ‘Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has insulted them, they went out on protest for the mission of founder PTI Imran Khan and not for money.’
Siddiqullah further said that the Chief Minister’s protest was successful because of the workers, but instead of giving them respect, they made them wait for hours.
On the other hand, PTI Peshawar Regional President Arbab Asim took the stand that a ceremony was held at CM House Peshawar to honor the workers after their release from jail.
He added that the event ended in a happy atmosphere, but I do not know when the protest took place.
Arbab Asim said that Chief Minister Ali Amin had left Gandapur after addressing the workers, maybe after that some workers protested. Dissatisfaction of workers in political parties is normal.
Chief Minister’s address to the workers
Earlier, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur addressed the workers and apologized to the workers for coming late. He paid tribute to the workers who were released from jail and said that they came fully prepared for the Swabi Jalsa.
