A case of alleged disappearance of a husband and wife was registered in Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in August this year and finally their bodies were found after three months.
A case of alleged abduction of Imam Ali and his wife, a resident of Abbottabad’s suburban village Raghia, was registered on August 15 at Raghia police station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother-in-law, but the police failed to trace the missing couple for three months. .
According to the police, after investigating all aspects of the disappearance of 75-year-old Imam Ali and his wife, the eldest son of the deceased was suspected, who disappeared from the scene after the report was filed.
According to SP Investigation Ishtiaq Muhammad, the police worked day and night to solve the case, which led to success in reaching the accused.
The accomplice of the accused was arrested from Karachi
DSP Haveliyan Arif Tanoli told Urdu News that ‘Waqas, a close friend of the victim’s son, fled to Karachi and was arrested first.’
He said that ‘accused Waqas during the investigation not only admitted to the facilitation but also told about the main accused who was the deceased’s son.’
The accused told the police in his statement that ‘the son of the victim along with him tortured his father and step-mother, after which with the help of his accomplices, he threw them alive into a well which is 15 feet deep. Later they fled from the crime scene.’
The dead bodies were recovered on the identification of the accused
According to DSP Arif Tanoli, the police and Rescue 1122 team reached the well after identifying the accused and after a two-hour operation, they recovered the mutilated bodies of the elderly couple from the 15 feet deep well.
The police said that the husband and wife were tortured to death and later thrown into a deep well.
According to the police, the two bodies have been buried in their native village after post-mortem.
What was the reason for killing the parents?
According to SP Investigation Ishtiaq Muhammad, the deceased had married a second time due to which there were frequent fights with the son of his first wife and there was also a property dispute between them.
He further said that ‘after the second marriage, the deceased had transferred most of the property to his second wife.’
According to the neighbors of the deceased, the family belongs to Bajaur and has been living here for many years. A few years ago, the deceased father and the accused son had a fight over Ghoilo issues, but the family members settled the matter by holding a Jirga.
Accused son escaped with gold and cash
DSP Haveliyan said that the deceased has three sons but only the eldest son was having a property dispute. The accused first killed his parents and then fled from the house with 35 tolas of gold and Rs 40 lakh in cash.’
Police are trying to arrest the main accused. According to the DSP, one accused in this incident is in custody while the search for two accused is on.
