Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting at Governor House Peshawar on Wednesday in which the problems of the province were discussed.
Ali Amin Gandapur and Faisal Karim Kundi are considered to be fierce political rivals of each other, that’s why both took the oath of office against each other.
Several heated political statements and bitter sentences were exchanged between the two through the media and the governor accused the Chief Minister of corruption and demanded his resignation.
In response to the governor’s statements, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur threatened to expel Faisal Karim Kundi from the governor’s house, however, with time, both of them softened their tone and changed their attitudes.
The Chief Minister and Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were seen sitting together for the first time in the Jirga held on the issue of banned Pashtun Protection Movement (PTM).

The spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi took the position that the meeting between the Governor and the Chief Minister took place suddenly after the swearing-in ceremony of the provincial minister, which was not scheduled in advance.
The Chief Minister came to the Governor’s House to participate in the ceremony and during the meeting, the law and order situation in the province, its difficulties and problems with the federation were discussed.
He further said that during the meeting, the governor assured the chief minister to discuss the problems of the province and their solution with the federation.
According to the spokesman of the governor, non-political discussions took place in this meeting held in a pleasant atmosphere.
“The governor said that he will do politics in the province during the election days, but currently it is time for consensus and unity in the province through which the problems of the people will be solved.”
On the other hand, according to the spokesman of the Chief Minister House, the meeting between the two took place without a schedule, however, after the swearing-in ceremony, Ali Amin Gandapur and Faisal Karim Kundi met for only 10 minutes, in which no political discussion took place.

According to journalist Mahmood John Babar, the governor is the representative of the federation and if he does not go ahead with the agenda of the federation, guess what he can do to talk to them, he can only request the federal government.
